Heading into the Derby della Madonnina, Christian Chivu’s Inter Milan can call upon an impressive core of players who have already found the net against their city rivals.
As highlighted by Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, ten current Nerazzurri have scored against AC Milan in competitive matches.
Indeed, eleven, if you include Pio Esposito, who did so at youth level.
At the top of the list is Lautaro Martinez, the all-time leader among current players with nine goals against the Rossoneri.
Piotr Zielinski and Henrikh Mkhitaryan both follow with four each.
However, their strikes came while playing for Empoli, Napoli, and Arsenal respectively.

Then there’s Hakan Calhanoglu, who has scored three times against his former club, matching the tally of Stefan De Vrij.
Francesco Acerbi is another ex-Milan player who has previously found the net against them.
The defender notably opening the scoring in the title-clinching derby in April 2024 that helped seal Inter’s second star.
“That night, the other scorer was Thuram,” recalls Corriere dello Sport, “who has not scored since but will be hungry to repeat the feat.”
And beyond the established names, Chivu could yet turn to Ange-Yoan Bonny or Francesco Pio Esposito, both potential debutants in the derby, as wildcards in attack.
As the paper notes: “For them, scoring in their first Derby della Madonnina would be the perfect introduction, just as Frattesi managed a couple of years ago.”
