Inter Milan coach Cristian Chivu has taken advantage of the international break to enjoy one of his biggest passions outside football: the NFL.

With the derby against AC Milan just a week away, the Romanian coach travelled to Madrid to watch the Miami Dolphins vs Washington Commanders showdown at the Santiago Bernabéu.

As reported by Gazzetta.it, via FCInterNews, Chivu is among the 84,000 spectators expected for the huge NFL matchup.

The trip offers Chivu a brief moment of respite before returning to Appiano Gentile to prepare his squad for one of the biggest fixtures of the season.

Despite the demanding schedule and the pressure surrounding the upcoming derby, the Inter coach has always been open about his love for American football.

Indeed, it is a sport he follows closely for both entertainment and tactical inspiration.

Chivu will return to Milan in the coming days as Inter resume full training ahead of the Derby della Madonnina.
