Inter striker Marcus Thuram is reportedly set to make his first Serie A start since September in Sunday’s derby against AC Milan.
According to Sky Sport via FCInterNews, the Frenchman is the likeliest candidate to partner Lautaro Martinez in attack.
Marcus Thuram returned to action on the eve of the international break following a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Indeed, he made back-to-back cameo appearances against Kairat Almaty and Lazio in the Champions League and Serie A, respectively.
However, French boss Didier Deschamps omitted him from his Les Bleus’ squad for the FIFA World Cup qualifying finale.

Despite only recently returning from injury, Thuram remains Cristian Chivu’s first choice alongside El Toro.
Therefore, Ange-Yoan Bonny and Francesco Pio Esposito will start on the bench.
Yet, with Thuram perhaps lacking match fitness, both players can expect to get some minutes in Sunday’s Serie A derby.
Pio Esposito must be brimming with confidence after scoring in both of Italy’s World Cup qualifiers this month.
However, Thuram is still likely to get the nod in attack.
