Serie A pacesetters Inter Milan have reportedly set their sights on Club Brugge up-and-comer Joel Ordonez.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInter1908, the Ecuadorian has become the club’s top defensive target for next summer.
Inter Milan will undergo a major overhaul at the end of the season.
Indeed, several defensive stalwarts are on the verge of leaving the club as free agents.
Francesco Acerbi, Matteo Darmian, and Stefan de Vrij will be out of contract next June.
Therefore, Beppe Marotta is on the lookout for defensive reinforcements.
Inter Milan Keen to Sign Joel Ordonez from Club Brugge

There’s no doubt that Inter will trigger a buyout clause in their loan agreement for Manuel Akanji.
However, the 30-year-old’s permanent transfer from Manchester City won’t be enough to plug the hole at the back.
As such, Inter will reportedly try to sign Joel Ordonez from Club Brugge.
At 21, Ordonez perfectly fits Oaktree Capital’s new transfer policy.
Furthermore, the young center-back is already an established star in the Jupiler Pro League and has ample room for improvement.
Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri may also try to lure Cagliari goalkeeper Elia Caprile to San Siro to replace Yann Sommer.
