Veteran Inter goalkeeper Yann Sommer faltered in last night’s Serie A defeat to direct Scudetto rivals AC Milan.

According to FCInterNews, the 36-year-old star ‘gifted’ the Rossoneri the second-half winner.

Despite dominating the game, Inter slumped to a dismal 1-0 defeat at San Siro.

Indeed, Christian Pulisic inspired the Rossoneri to their sixth consecutive unbeaten game against Cristian Chivu’s side.

Meanwhile, Hakan Calhanoglu missed a penalty as ‘Man of the Match’ award winner, Mike Maignan, denied the Turkish star’s attempt from the spot.

Maignan was brilliant between the sticks, making several outstanding saves, including a stunning dive to thwart Lautaro Martinez in the first half.

In stark contrast to the Frenchman’s spotless performance, Sommer endured another lackluster display.

Though Alexis Saelemaekers’ shot wasn’t too hard to handle, he deflected the ball straight to Pulisic’s feet.

However, Inter had a perfect chance to level the score in the 74th minute, only for Calhanoglu to miss his second penalty in Serie A.

Therefore, Inter suffered their fourth league defeat of the season.
