Inter head coach Cristian Chivu will want to forget Sunday’s Derby della Madonnina clash against AC Milan as soon as possible.
According to the Italian media via L’Interista, the 45-year-old ‘created the conditions’ to win one of the most storied Serie A derbies.
However, Inter couldn’t find the net despite engineering numerous clear-cut chances, including a wasted penalty in the 76th minute.
Indeed, Hakan Calhanoglu made a rare miss from the spot, condemning his side to their first scoring blank under Simone Inzaghi’s successor.
Inter Boss Cristian Chivu Deserved to Win the Milan Derby

Cristian Chivu prepared the game well but failed to claim the city’s bragging rights in his maiden coaching appearance in this fixture.
Unfortunately, a stroke of bad luck prevented Inter from returning to the win column in the Milan derby.
Instead, the 20-time Italian champions have extended their winless streak against the Rossoneri to six matches in all competitions.
Yet, it was not Chivu’s fault, considering the Romanian manager’s tactics were on point.
Indeed, Inter dominated possession and created more chances than Milan, only for the final touch to let them down.
