Serie A giants Inter Milan have not relinquished their long-standing interest in Roma midfielder Manu Kone.
According to L’Interista, the Nerazzurri remain firmly in the race for the French star.
Despite making a valiant attempt to sign the former Borussia Monchengladbach ace in the summer, Inter failed to find an agreement with Roma.
Indeed, the Giallorossi quickly rebuffed Inter’s approach, with Gian Piero Gasperini refusing to lose his standout midfielder.
However, Roma’s precarious financial state could force the club to sell Manu Kone either in January or next summer.
Inter Milan Remain Keen on Roma Ace Manu Kone

Inter identified Kone as their top summer target after dropping interest in Atalanta stalwart Ademola Lookman.
Still, Roma’s unwillingness to discuss the midfielder’s move resulted in the Nerazzurri signing Andy Diouf from Lens.
Yet, the Frenchman has flopped at San Siro and could be on his way out at the end of the season.
With Henrikh Mkhitaryan also expected to leave, Inter will likely try to reopen talks with Roma over Kone’s transfer to San Siro.
