Yann Bisseck and Ange-Yoan Bonny stood out for Inter Milan despite a morale-wracking 2-1 defeat to Atletico Madrid last night. 

According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the German defender exceeded expectations at the Metropolitano Stadium.

Cristian Chivu decided to bench veteran star Francesco Acerbi in favor of Bisseck, who repaid that trust with a superb performance.

Indeed, the 24-year-old fared impressively against the likes of Julian Alvarez and Alex Baena.

For example, Bisseck performed much better than Manuel Akanji, whose late lapse in concentration allowed Atletico to take all three points.

In addition to Bisseck, Bonny was also a headline performer for the Nerazzurri, outshining his captain, Lautaro Martinez.

Despite failing to score in his maiden Champions League start, the French striker delivered another assist.

Indeed, the 22-year-old set up Piotr Zielinski for Inter’s second-half equalizer, registering his fifth assist of the season.

Furthermore, Bonny’s overall performance was excellent, considering he was heavily involved in the build-up play.
