Lautaro Martinez carried Inter Milan to a dramatic 2-0 win over Pisa in Sunday’s ‘David vs Goliath’ Serie A clash.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Argentine striker kept the Nerazzurri firmly in the Scudetto picture.
It was not Inter’s flashiest performance under Cristian Chivu by any stretch of the imagination.
Despite their strong pre-match favoritism, the San Siro giants squeezed past a resilient Pisa side on the back of El Toro’s heroics.
Lautaro Martinez Keeps Inter Milan in Scudetto Picture with Superb Performance vs Pisa

Inter punished Pisa for several wasted opportunities, as Lautaro Martinez broke the deadlock in the 69th minute.
In doing so, the 28-year-old scored only his second away league goal of the season.
However, he refused to rest on his laurels, delivering a knockout blow in the 83rd minute with an all-important second goal.
After bouncing back from a gut-wrenching defeat in the Milan derby, Inter are now only one point adrift of the Serie A summit.
Inter’s Scudetto pursuit will take a quick break in midweek as they take on Venezia in the Coppa Italia.
