The problem is that Luiz Henrique is not a wingback, he is a winger. He’s having the exact same issue that Perisic had when Conte arrived back in 2019. Conte wanted to use Perisic as a wingback, but it wasn’t working out so he loaned him out to Bayern; Conte even used Perisic as a striker at one point. It was only after Perisic came back the next season that things clicked and he became superb at that position. Luiz Henrique will need to work hard to get used to that position. Its easier for fullbacks to transition to a wingback than it is for a winger.
Indeed, the transition from winger to wing-back is easier said than done. Wing-back is just a full-back in a 3-5-2 or similar system.
He needs to get more trust from his teammates in order to shine .
