Marcus Thuram inspired Inter Milan to an emphatic 5-1 victory over second-tier Venezia in last night’s Coppa Italia tie.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the French striker was among the best players on the pitch.
It had been nearly three months since Marcus Thuram last found the back of the net.
Unfortunately, the 28-year-old suffered a long-term hamstring injury against Slavia Prague in late September.
Therefore, he has only recently returned to the squad.
However, he showed no signs of fatigue last night, scoring on either side of halftime to carry Inter to a routine win.

Thuram first scored from distance before slotting home a diving header at the beginning of the second half.
Interestingly, Davide Frattesi set up the Frenchman for the second goal.
Despite failing to score, the 26-year-old registered two assists in his first competitive start since early November.
Meanwhile, Andy Diouf and Francesco Pio Esposito also got on the board, with the former scoring his first goal in Italian football.
