Inter Milan are reportedly keeping a close eye on Club Brugge defender Joel Ordonez and Udinese center-back Oumar Solet.
According to Tuttosport via FCInter1908, the Nerazzurri are on the lookout for defensive reinforcements.
Inter will likely sever ties with several first-team stalwarts at the end of the season.
Indeed, Matteo Darmian, Francesco Acerbi, and Stefan de Vrij will be out of contract next June.
Furthermore, the San Siro giants have yet to offer them new deals.
Inter Milan Pursuing Joel Ordonez & Oumar Solet

There’s no longer any doubt regarding Manuel Akanji’s future.
Inter have already decided to exercise the buyout clause in their loan agreement with Manchester City.
However, Akanji’s purchase alone will not be enough to address Inter’s looming defensive overhaul, prompting the club to explore additional options.
Therefore, they’re closely monitoring Joel Ordonez’s progress at Club Brugge.
In addition to the Ecuadorian star, Inter are keeping close tabs on Udinese ace Oumar Solet.
As one of Serie A’s most highly rated defenders, Solet has been on Inter’s radar since last summer.

Ordonez signed for Chelsea last month !!!!!!!!
As far as I know, Ordonez has extended his contract with Cub Brugge until 2029
For all of you who were defending all summer keeping oldtimers in the team “good job”. If we were a team that only plays on Sunday than that would be an ok option, but since we compete on all fronts and challenge for trophies we NEED younger players who won’t get muscle fatigue as often, nor would injuries need so much time to heal. The only good thing management did is in attack for changing deadweight for young blood, but even with Pio and Bonny we needed to get rid of Thuram. Ffs the guy has never scored 20 goals in a season and a couple of days ago here were news saying he was close to 5 best strikers currently in the world or something like that, a huge joke. 2, 3 good games, then on next 5 he’s walking or jogging around the pitch or he’s injured. Lautaro for all his missed chances is Pele himself for him.
Sommer 10 cm shorter than any other good gk, that didn’t show much earlier because of his good reflexes, but now it shows almost on every match, his yoga doesn’t help anymore.
Our defense is a joke this season, Basto and Carlos had some bad games, but still as starter and his backup they are one of the best left-footed cbs in the game. Akanji is ok as a 3rd or 4th choice in the back. For all those comments on summer as how Bisseck is bad, i would gladly have 2 more players like him, than any of Acerbi/de Vrij/Darmian. Darmian is injured the whole season, de Vrij isn’t relevant for 2-3 years already and Acerbi is slow as hell. Dumfries and Dimarco are doing their job, but neither of them has good backup, Augusto can’t cover all positions. Luis was horrible almost every game, how much time do we need to wait for him to adapt?
As for midfield the only player who has deserved to be starter is Barella, the rest are either old or not shown much for cemented starting place. Mhiki old, should be used as last option to calm the game in the last half an hour of game or to share his knowledge to younger players, not used in every game when not injured. Frattesi is pure joke in midfield, Diouf maybe need to be given starting place on the right wing as sub for Dumfries. Sucic has that something to take the ball, dribble past 2-3 players in the middle and tries for a shot or finishing place, but needs more improving in defensive assignments. Zielinski is shadow of himself, 1-2 solid games, maybe even great, but the rest are unimpactful. As for Hakan, the only thing left for him is his shot, even penalties aren’t his sure thing anymore. Defensive play is most of the time terrible, can’t even count how many goals we allowed because of his lost balls in the middle of the pitch, his forward passes aren’t like they used to be anymore, before he had 3-4 long balls or through passes per game that transformed into goalscoring opportunity, not i think he can only get assists from set pieces.
Season is long and it’s expected to lose here and there, but we already have 6 defeats and 0 draws, at least learn how to not lose derbies every single time, hopefully Chivu improves that painful statistic while it’s not too late.
But also to raise voices to speed up the sell of club
Mario Gila from Lazio should be a priority then Solet, both are young and Serie A proven.
we are just continuing to “keep close tabs” on almost every player we know of just to end up with players no one has heard of…
They went into the season relying on 37yr old acerbi that was already burnt out last season and now they are trying to look around for younger center back. Been an inter fan for so long and never have i witnessed where leadership are well aware of areas needing improvement and all summer they focus on something else. This is just clear lack of ambition
Oaktree’s priority is financial stability, i.e. reducing debt, and building the stadium to increase the club’s value. Buying proven players who cost more than unproven gambles does not seem to be a priority for them. We as fans have to live with that.
Correct
But thinking that the current defence if enough to even challenge in Italy is beyond stupidity. Especially Acerbi as he keeps getting used in all big matches and Inter keep suffering in defence everytime. Anyone could see the defence was the problem for years but then nothing happen
But the thing is, it’s not only the stadium that increases a club’s value—quality players and top results do as well. During the summer transfer window, we didn’t bring in enough quality players (with the exception of Akanji and possibly Bonny), so we can’t realistically hope to achieve top results. Yes, we may reach financial stability, but we could still remain a mediocre club in terms of sporting success—something none of us who want Inter to be among the top clubs can accept.
