Inter Milan’s trip to Genoa on Sunday won’t just be important on the pitch as the Nerazzurri will also use the match as a chance to take a close look at Morten Frendrup and Brooke Norton-Cuffy.
Indeed, two Genoa players who have emerged as concrete targets for future reinforcement.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, Inter have been following Frendrup for several months.
The Denmark international impressed last season, however, talks stalled in the summer.
Instead, the club secured the arrival of Diouf, leaving the midfield department crowded.
Whether space can be created in January remains to be seen, but the interest has never fully disappeared.
Not Just Frendrup, Norton-Cuffy Also On Inter Radar At Genoa

The situation is different for Norton-Cuffy, who has only recently entered Inter’s radar.
With Denzel Dumfries struggling physically and facing an uncertain future, right-wing-back is becoming a priority area.
A young, athletic profile is exactly what the club are seeking, and the England U21 defender fits that brief.
At just 21, he is considered “a young, explosive profile with reasonable costs,” a type of investment that has already proven successful for Inter with players such as Sucic, Bonny and Pio Esposito.

Not a fan of of this. This is another 352 formation purchase and I want to see a tall CDM not Frendrup who is a shittier version of Barella.
Once they win against Genoa or any other team soon you will hear management saying they believe in the present players they have. Same tactics every year, they are not ready to start a new project yet and will keep using these old players until their bones start falling off their bodies on the field.
Ok boss. Who’s old? Matteo, mikhi and acerbi. How many minutes that have on the pitch this season. Acerbi – almost 1000, mikhi – 700, darmian – 27 minutes. Now in perspective:
Bonny – 640, pio – 744, l.enrique – 529, bissek 769, sucic – 940, dima – 1500…etc.
Its easy to hate on my team when yoy quote no data. But the facts are mikhi and acerbi are the only left from the aging squad. Give it a rest. The team is moving in the right direction and yes…the refs made shocking decisions in our high stakes games. The only thing beppe needs to do is blame the refs. Either you like it or not, we lost from rube, napoli and pool because of the ref. But lets hate on chivu that picked up the spirits after the cl final. And that is why i’ve been a fan for 39 years and you…for 15 years max.
Forza Inter. And stop hating on our team.
Niko, don’t bother. These people live in different reality. No matter how many facts you point out, old players will keep getting scapegoated. Doesn’t matter if Susic, Pio, Bonny, Luis Henrique and Diouf are young and all have started to finally pull their weight, the older players are the only reason why Inter is in crisis (that’s if you think that not winning big games is the same as being in crisis, regardless of the fact that Inter is literally 1 point away from first place and is still in the top 8 in the CL).
I don’t think you need to change a formation that we are already winning games with….we only have to do one or two things to get everything going…plus we all know that we hired an inexperienced coach…so we only have have some patience….if not we may follow in the steps of Liverpool….after winning the league with a large points margin they chose to change formation and see what’s happening to them ….
