Inter Milan are assessing immediate defensive solutions following Francesco Acerbi’s injury and Stefan de Vrij’s drop in the pecking order as the club plot moves for Lazio defender Mario Gila and Roma midfielder Manu Kone.
Tuttosport are reporting, via FCInterNews, that the club could act quickly if the right opportunity emerges.
Sporting director Piero Ausilio is working with a budget of €20–24 million.
Although the Nerazzurri are reluctant to commit a large fee unless the target aligns perfectly with their long-term plans.
For a more immediate boost, Inter are evaluating Lazio defender Mario Gila. The Spaniard earns €1.1 million and shares the same agent as Lautaro Martinez.

Indeed, a detail that could help facilitate negotiations.
Lazio need to generate funds to operate in the market and value the Spaniard at around €20 million. With a contract running until 2027, Gila represents a potentially attainable yet ambitious solution to strengthen the back line.
Inter are also monitoring midfield options as they plan for future changes.
Manu Koné remains the club’s dream target, particularly with Davide Frattesi linked to a possible future exit and Henrikh Mkhitaryan out of contract at the end of the season.
The Nerazzurri are keeping close tabs on internal prospects as well, with Ebenezer Akinsanmiro expected to be bought back in the summer.
In attack, no major moves are anticipated, with the club satisfied with its current depth and balance.

If Gila comes in January,Inter will win Serie A without a doubt. For the summer Manu Kone would take the midfield to another level,Swap Fratessi to his boyhood club would be ideal. If Paz joins Madrid in the summer,Inter should go after Arda Guler.
Inter are so unserious. After any defeat they come out with all these fakes news about needing to buy players and soon as they win some mediocre teams they make bold statements that they are very happy with the core players that they have and you hear about them wanting to extend some of these old players contracts including Sommer the goalkeeper. They enjoy playing with the fans emotion knowing fully well that all they care about is saving some money for oaktree. Until we get a club owner that truly cares about inter we should just sit back and enjoy this bumpy ride as most of our players are all worn out and management can no longer afford to buy quality replacement period.
these two signings should,at least on paper, fill some of the gaps we have, perhaps the most urgent ones. We are also lacking a fast dribbler in the mid-forward department and a right wing back. The only issue is that all these roles should have properly been filled back in the summer, when we decided to bring in garbage players.
Marotta again looking to buy average players. It’s about time he leaves the club.
