Inter Milan castaway Davide Frattesi could reportedly file a transfer request when the transfer window reopens for business in January.

According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInter1908, the Italian midfielder is no longer willing to play second fiddle at San Siro.

Things have not worked out for Davide Frattesi in Lombardy.

Indeed, after playing a bit-part role in Simone Inzaghi’s system, his situation has worsened under Cristian Chivu.

For context, he has made a mere one Serie A start this season.

Left to rot on the bench for most of the season, Frattesi has become increasingly frustrated with his status at the club.

Meanwhile, several Serie A sides, including Juventus and Napoli, would be glad to offer him an escape route from San Siro.

Frattesi could lend them a helping hand by requesting a transfer next month.

Having not featured in a league match since the beginning of November, Frattesi appears ready to push for a move.

Therefore, a winter exit is well on the cards.
