Several Saudi Pro League and Premier League clubs have reportedly joined Barcelona in the race for Inter Milan stalwart Alessandro Bastoni.

According to FCInterNews, the San Siro giants have no intention of selling their prized asset under any circumstances.

Alessandro Bastoni has established himself as a defensive mainstay at Giuseppe Meazza.

Indeed, he has been the cornerstone of Inter’s backline over the past seven years.

However, his impressive form in Serie A has attracted unwanted attention.

Barcelona have reportedly set their sights on Bastoni amid Hansi Flick’s pursuit of a top-class defender to bolster his fragile backline.

Yet, the Catalan heavyweights can hardly afford the 26-year-old’s significant wages, let alone his prohibitive price tag.

On the other hand, wealthy Saudi Pro League sides, such as Al-Hilal and Al-Qadsiah, would have no problems matching Inter’s request.

However, the Nerazzurri are reluctant to sever ties with the Italian center-back.

Instead, they’re looking to offer Bastoni fresh terms.
