Italian media have delivered a mixed assessment of Inter Milan’s performances following their Supercoppa Italiana exit to Bologna, with Corriere dello Sport particularly critical of Yann Bisseck and Ange-Yoan Bonny.
The Rome-based newspaper, via FCInterNews, handed both youngsters a rating of 5, making them the lowest-scoring Inter players on the night.
Bisseck was faulted for the handball that led to Bologna’s penalty, despite a solid start in which he used his physical strength well against Bernardeschi.
Bonny, meanwhile, struggled to make an impact.
The Corriere noted that Bologna’s defenders had clearly learned how to contain him compared to his past success against them.
Bologna 1-1 Inter – Bonny & Bisseck Struggle But Martinez Impresses

In contrast, there were several positives for Inter. Josep Martinez and Marcus Thuram both received a 7, the highest ratings in the team.
Martinez was praised for his authority in the air and a crucial late save on Fabbian.
Meanwhile Thuram was rewarded for an outstanding volleyed goal and his relentless work rate throughout the match.
Cristian Chivu himself was rated 6, with Corriere highlighting Inter’s strong opening and improved second half, despite late risks.
Solid contributions were also noted from De Vrij, Bastoni, Barella, Mkhitaryan and Dimarco.
All judged to have met expectations in a demanding contest.
Overall, the verdict underlined a familiar theme. Encouraging team structure and individual quality at senior level, undermined by costly errors from younger players at decisive moments.
if Chivu wanted to win, he’d put Hakan and Pio in last 5 mins, he said clearly in prematch conf he doesnt think Milan and Inter should be in supercup, so, I guess players lost more easily, after failing to win in regular match time, tho, our penalty takers are criminal, this was similar to exit against at.mad 2 yrs ago, Asllani was only 100% from penalty kicks we had, and Hakan is high at 91%, and I think Pio might be the one on 3rd place, he scored some in SPezia, but Barella, De Vrij, that was just power forcing it, Marttinez was just lucky golman chose the wrong side, basically, the only player who made it good, was legendary Ciro, that was true penalty execution
To the FOOLS who write on those papers u should write about baseball !!!! Mikhatrian has been trash for over 2 years and he still plays like if he it was his daddy’s club !!! Bastoni and Barella has been TRASH for 2 years straight !!!!!! Bessick is the best defender Inter has but they keep putting him on the bench. He got pushed last night and after the push the ball touched his hands. Boni on the other hand is the most talented sticker inter has and he still sits in the bench !!!!! Diof is a very good player and he sits on the bench, Sosic is a very good midfielder and he sits on the bench !!!! But Still Acherbi always has to play, Mikhatrian has to play, it doesn’t matter how long Barella and Bastoni have been playing like trash, they will always play !!! Thuram has to play !!!! Looks like u only have to be a 100 years old or stay in the club for years to actually play. It doesn’t matter if you are young and talented. The bench is where u gonna be at. Bum coach !!!!!!!
Bastoni and Barella have been trash for the last two years???Don’t think so. They have easily been among Inters best performers.
Take it easy bro. I understand the pain of losing to Bologna especially with both of them missing their respective spot kicks
the only fool here are you, Miki has 5-10 interceptions each game, poetry is only description for his game, I agree about Diouf and Sucic tho, I dont wanna be looking at empty Zielinski who can control any part of defensive game or even play something half decent forward as Miki, and Henrique has been such a lame wingback, but Bastoni trash, come on, get real, watch the game for a change
Bastoni and Barella fail. All the established players have an ego problem which begins with the management. So apart from an inexperienced coach inter have inexperienced backroom staff. Marotta is failure and as a result Inter is failure. It is what it is.
I guess you all wanna go to past decade before Marotta was around, where we were trash club?
youngsters should make mistakes so they can learn. the point is, will they learn from it or just repeat the same mistake over and over again that can consider their positions in the first team.
Maybe Bonny thinks he is Neymar…
He is the best stricker inter has. The only player in the whole squad who can dribble u squarehead
The performance can be forgiven but his penalty will go down as the worst in Inter history all because he thought he was somehow Messi or Ronaldo. I thought overall he’s better than Pio but it’s clear the guy is cocky so Pio should be the default option as he runs for the whole time and press without being told to do so by Lautaro
pio needs to start every game. this isnt rocket science.
