Inter Milan will reportedly resume preparations for the upcoming Serie A clash against Atalanta on Friday.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, Cristian Chivu has given his players a two-day rest during the Christmas holidays.
The Nerazzurri’s pursuit of their 21st Scudetto took a quick stop last weekend to accommodate their Supercoppa Italiana duties.
However, the eighth-time Supercoppa winners slumped to a heartbreaking semi-final defeat to Bologna in Riyadh.
Therefore, Cristian Chivu missed his first chance to win his maiden senior title in charge of the San Siro outfit.

Moreover, the Nerazzurri will return to training on Friday.
Several first-team stars remain unavailable, including Denzel Dumfries, Francesco Acerbi, and Matteo Darmian.
On the bright side, Hakan Calhanoglu has regained full fitness and is likely to start on Sunday.
