Galatasaray could reportedly reignite their interest in Inter Milan playmaker Hakan Calhanoglu at the end of the season.

According to Turkiye Gazetesi via FCInterNews, the Super Lig champions are ready to make a new attempt to sign the 31-year-old star.

Okan Buruk’s side tried to lure Hakan Calhanoglu to Istanbul last summer.

However, the Rams Park outfit deemed Inter Milan’s €35 million asking price excessive, deciding to pull the plug on their pursuit.

Meanwhile, Fenerbahce attempted to hijack Galatasaray’s interest in Calhanoglu but to no avail.

Although Fenerbahce have lost interest in Calhanoglu after signing Edson Alvarez, Galatasaray remain firmly in the race.

Indeed, the Lions have identified the former AC Milan midfielder as a dream target.

Not even the high-profile arrival of Ilkay Gundogan has changed Galatasaray’s mind. They are desperate to land Calhanoglu.

Despite re-establishing himself as a key player for Cristian Chivu’s side, Calhanoglu could be allowed to leave next summer.

With his contract expiring in 2027, Inter are running out of time to cash in on their long-serving stalwart.
