Inter Milan will reportedly be without veteran defenders Francesco Acerbi and Matteo Darmian until January.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, both players will be unavailable for Sunday’s trip to Bergamo.
Seeking redemption for a disappointing Supercoppa Italiana defeat to Bologna, Inter will face Atalanta this weekend.
Despite leading the way in Serie A, Inter cannot afford a slip-up at the Gewiss Stadium, with second-placed AC Milan only a point behind.
Furthermore, reigning champions Napoli are breathing down Inter’s necks, trailing the Nerazzurri by two points.
Inter Milan to Be Without Francesco Acerbi & Matteo Darmian Until January

There’s an emerging injury crisis at San Siro.
In addition to Denzel Dumfries and Ange-Yoan Bonny, Inter will close the calendar year without Acerbi and Darmian.
Indeed, the latter has been out of action since suffering a calf injury in late September.
However, the 36-year-old may not recover until mid-January.
On the other hand, Cristian Chivu is expecting Acerbi to return sooner, perhaps for an away match against Parma on January 7.
