Inter Milan could be active in the January transfer window after losing star player Denzel Dumfries to a long-term injury.
According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, the San Siro giants have developed a habit of making emergency signings during the winter.
Curiously, six of Inter’s last 13 winter reinforcements have been wingers.
Only last winter, the Nerazzurri signed Nicola Zalewski from Roma on a short-term loan deal to strengthen the right flank.
Fast forward 12 months, and Inter are back in the market for another right winger.
Inter Milan to Sign New Wingback in January Transfer Window

Before Zalewski, Inter had landed Tajon Buchanan from Club Brugge.
However, the list goes on, stretching back to the 2019/20 season, when they signed Ashley Young and Victor Moses.
Furthermore, Robin Gosens joined the 20-time Serie A champions from Atalanta in January 2022.
Unfortunately, most of those transfers didn’t pan out.
Regardless, with Dumfries injured, Cristian Chivu doesn’t have much room for maneuver and may be forced to dip into the market once again.
It has been painful to see over the years how much we overspent on some no name players, or gave high wages to washed out players only to get not even a decent substitute player. Oaktree for all their flaws are pushing for younger players, and that’s good, but maybe better to bring back some former Inter academy players who can at least be a good backup option and then spent big money on player who can impact first team. 20-30 mil spent on some average player is wasteful, we haven’t spent big in 5 years when we bought Hakimi. That transfer paid out, both on the pitch and in transfer window (could’ve got a lot more from him if there wasn’t a Covid). Some youth players who can at least be a 2nd option on some positions: GK- Stankovic (maybe even starter in the future). CB- Pirola (definitely better option then some of our centrebacks), Stabile is doing good in Seria B so far. RWB- Zanotti can maybe even permanently replace Dumfries as starter, as backup is more than good enough. Midfield- Stankovic needs to be brought back at all cost, Akinsanmiro is already good enough to be in rotation, Casadei maybe to bring some height and strength on the centre, give some playing time to Topalovic and Berenbruch iinstead of giving Frattesi minutes and then send them somewhere with buy-back clause (almost no one in top leagues will want to develop someone else’s player). Carboni as backup AM is good, but needs much more minutes to grow to be backbone of a team. For strikers as 4th option instead of Thuram (hopefully will be sold on summer) we have Pinamonti and Pellegrino from Parma(i think he counts as Inter youth).
