Serie A giants Inter Milan are reportedly planning to make Francesco Pio Esposito central to their long-term project.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInter1908, the 20-year-old striker occupies a special place in the club’s plans.

Francesco Pio Esposito returned to Giuseppe Meazza in the summer following an impressive breakout season at Spezia.

Despite being new to Serie A, the Italian center-forward has excelled in the early stages of the season.

Furthermore, Esposito has scored in all three competitions he has featured in for the Nerazzurri so far.

Head coach Cristian Chivu convinced the club to reject several lucrative offers for Esposito in the summer.

Indeed, the Nerazzurri turned down Napoli’s eye-watering €40 milllion bid, deciding to give the youngster a chance.

Esposito has seized the opportunity, establishing himself as one of the hottest talents in European football.

However, there’s fierce competition for places at Meazza.

Lautaro Martinez, Marcus Thuram, Ange-Yoan Bonny, and Esposito are vying for the two attacking spots.

Though Esposito is currently a backup option, he is likely to get a more prominent role in the future.
