Turning defeats into draws, or finding ways to win tighter matches, would make a clear difference in the title race.

Fine margins have already cost points, and January offers little room for error.

The month also carries major weight in Europe. Inter aim to secure direct qualification for the Champions League last 16.

To do so, they will need at least three or four points from their remaining fixtures against Arsenal at San Siro and away to Borussia Dortmund.
