Inter Milan wingback Luis Henrique addressed the press after Sunday’s tight 1-0 victory over Serie A strugglers Atalanta.
Speaking to InterTV via FCInterNews, the Brazilian star hailed La Dea’s defensive setup.
With Denzel Dumfries recovering from ankle surgery, Cristian Chivu finds himself strapped for dependable options on the right wing.
Indeed, the Dutchman is likely to stay in the pits until March, leaving Inter short of alternatives on the flank.
Despite shelling out €24 million to sign Luis Henrique in June, the former Marseille star has been far from brilliant in Serie A.
The 24-year-old is having a hard time adapting to the new surroundings.
However, Dumfries’ absence has thrown him a lifeline at San Siro.
Last night, he made his seventh consecutive start in all competitions but failed to live up to expectations.
Therefore, it’s unsurprising that Inter are in the market for a new wingback ahead of the January transfer window.
Inter Milan Ace Luis Henrique Praises Atalanta Defense After Narrow Win

In addition to showing little attacking ambition, Henrique struggled defensively, particularly once Kamaldeen Sulemana came on.
However, it’s fair to admit that Inter signed the Brazilian for his attacking qualities.
Unfortunately, his offensive impact remains limited, highlighting Inter’s ongoing need for a more reliable option on the wing.
Meanwhile, Henrique hailed Atalanta’s man-marking approach after the game.
“Atalanta is a team that always marks man-to-man, so it’s tough for the wingers,” he claimed. “But we have plenty of quality.
“I’m happy, tired, and smiling.”
Then, he praised Inter for returning to the top of the Serie A table.
The standings? It’s important to be up there.”
Finally, he discussed his increased game time.
“My role? I work hard in all situations; I want to be ready.
“Since the start of the year, I’ve been fitting in well, and I get along with my teammates.”
he was invisible in the first half, squandered a great oportunity when alone in front of the Atalanta goalkeeper, but, still, improved in the second half. Overall, not a material for a club alstriving for trophies.
I don´t know Marko if we watched the same game??
Your opinion about Henrique is like old wheeltracks.
I can see a winger who in the last games has started to take initiatives offensivly. In this match he presented his teammates with two very precise passes into the penalty area, which both could have resulted in goals if handled better. At one time he almost produced a goal himself only hindered by a very good action of the opponent goalie. In the last ten minutes of the game Inter struggled a bit and Henrique at several occasions brought the ball up front into enemyland. It´s obvious that he has a very skilled technique with the ball, and now whwn he´s maybe overcoming his “shyness” I believe he will only improve and silence your negativism.
Marko is just translating articles that are published in paper media. Don’t think that this is his opinion.
My personal opinion is that Luis H. isn’t good enough for RWB position, because he wastes too much energy doing his defensive duties, and therefore he is harmless going forward.. some good passes aren’t good enough
He would be much more effective as a sub, when we try to close out games
