Serie A pacesetters Inter Milan have reportedly stepped up efforts to sign Hajduk Split teenager Branimir Mlacic.

According to FCInter1908, the Nerazzurri are ready to table a €5.5 million offer for the highly-rated 18-year-old.

Branimir Mlacic has emerged as one of Europe’s hottest young prospects.

Indeed, the young center-back has established himself as a regular starter at Poljud despite his tender age.

Furthermore, several top clubs, including Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Marseille, are keeping close tabs on his development.

Keen to beat stiff competition for the talented defender, Inter have already drawn up a formal proposal.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri could soon submit a €5.5 million bid for Mlacic.

Moreover, Inter could even let the player stay in Split on loan until the end of the season to sweeten the deal.

Indeed, Beppe Marotta has identified Mlacic as a long-term investment capable of bolstering Inter’s defensive ranks for years to come.

As such, Inter would be in no hurry to include the Croatian prodigy in the first-team squad.
