Inter Milan wingback Federico Dimarco addressed the press after Sunday’s frustrating 2-2 home draw against Napoli.
Speaking to Sport Mediaset via FCInterNews, the Italian star hailed the team’s progress under Cristian Chivu.
Federico Dimarco opened the scoring with his fourth Serie A goal of the season, putting Inter in front just before the ten-minute mark.
As a result, the 28-year-old now boasts nine goal contributions in 18 league matches this term.
Therefore, he is the most prolific defender across Europe’s top-five leagues.
However, Inter failed to capitalize on Dimarco’s early strike, dropping the lead twice to register a third consecutive home draw against Napoli.
Indeed, Scott McTominay notched up a brace to help the Partenopei avoid defeat at San Siro.
Despite failing to settle the score with the reigning champions after a controversial 3-1 loss in the reverse fixture, Inter performed well.
Unfortunately, Cristian Chivu is still waiting for his first win against direct Scudetto rivals.
Federico Dimarco Hails Inter Milan Progress After Napoli Draw

“There’s some regret, yes, because we went ahead twice and then got caught,” Dimarco said after the game. “But we take this important point against a strong team.
‘We always have to remember they are the Italian champions, and there’s a reason for that. It’s good like this; we have to keep going the way we are.”
Asked whether Inter could’ve done more, Dimarco replied: “Right after the match, it’s hard to say; when we analyze the game, we’ll understand better.”
Then, he slammed the media for putting pressure on Inter.
“That’s just you guys liking to make headlines… A few months ago, we would have lost this match.
“Today we hold a draw against a strong team. We’re first, 3 points ahead of Milan and 4 ahead of Napoli.
“We have to keep going like this and follow what the coach asks us to do.”
Furthermore, he commented on his stunning strike.
“I haven’t watched it again, but Marcus also told me. Too bad it didn’t give us the win.”
Finally, he assessed the competition.
“There are many teams close by. Being the champions of Italy, they are a bit stronger.
“But Milan, who we lost to in the first leg, are still behind; Juventus is coming back, and Roma is doing well.
“There are many teams within a few points of each other.”

Bisseck is a good defender. Nobody is perfect even world class defenders makes mistakes. Learn how to support and stop acting like fake fans. learn to be optimistic about inter milan.
I like bissek. Anyone remember how leao was strugling to handle any ball last year at the semis of the cup
We need to keep our standards high. Bisseck needs to be sold. He threw the Scudetto away last season, and did the very same thing in the Super Cup last month.
This is what a young defender looks like. Everybody is always ragging on Acerbi for being old. If we want to develop youth and have a younger squad we are going to have to expect mistakes.
Overall, Bisseck is really good technically, he is not afraid to dribble up the field, he is massive, and he is showing growth tactically. We can’t ask for world class, fully developed defenders under 25 years old for under 30m – they barely exist for 100m
Napoli are champions because Bisseck handled the ball versus Lazio. Lost the supercup because he handled a ball versus Bologna. Draw against napoli because he made a big mistake and misjudge the ball in the air. So again one man Bisseck have caused so much dissapointment and yet still he continues to start games. Sell Bisseck and buy a better defender he is accident prone …….
The real question is who should we replace him with is anyone fast and can use both feet and good in the air ?
good question.

You are cherry picking single incidents. The season is 38 games. Choose a player and go back through 38 games and count the number of mistakes they made. It’s called confirmation bias. Are you supporting the team or are you looking for evidence to justify your conclusion?
Always problems, never solutions. This is a loser mentality.
