Cristian Chivu has given his Inter Milan players a day off ahead of Wednesday’s Serie A clash against Lecce.
According to Sky Sport via FCInterNews, the squad will not meet on the training pitch tomorrow.
Napoli held Inter to a dramatic 2-2 draw on Sunday night, coming back from a deficit twice to avoid defeat at San Siro.
Despite failing to beat the Partenopei in a third consecutive home meeting, Chivu’s men have preserved a three-point lead at the top of the table.
Cristian Chivu Gives Inter Milan Players Extra Rest Ahead of Lecce Clash

Cristian Chivu is still waiting for his first league victory over direct Scudetto rivals.
However, his charges have been ruthless against bottom-half opponents.
Therefore, the 45-year-old manager has decided to give his team a day off, meaning the Nerazzurri will not train tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Chivu is waiting for an update on Hakan Calhanoglu’s fitness with bated breath.
Indeed, the Turkish midfielder suffered a minor muscle injury on Sunday, casting doubt on his availability for the midweek game.

just an outsider view, I think we can manage to try 4 def. seeing some build up play, this is how every team starts their attacks, esp with 5 def, and against a big team, ofc they have already read that tactic. so it is easier to block the attacks for midfield play. if any variation of tactic that chivu can deliver, that would be awesome to watch.
