Napoli struck a late equalizer to hold Serie A pacesetters Inter Milan to a dramatic 2-2 draw in last night’s showdown at San Siro.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, Scott McTominay’s double maintained Inter’s notorious ‘big match’ crisis.
Cristian Chivu was ten minutes away from winning his first high-profile Serie A game in charge of the Nerazzurri.
However, his side dropped the lead on either side of halftime as McTominay rescued a point for Napoli with a brace.
Meanwhile, Federico Dimarco and Hakan Calhanoglu were on the scoresheet for the home side.
Napoli Add to Inter Milan ‘Big Match’ Issues

Inter seemed on course to avenge a 3-1 defeat in October’s reverse fixture when Dimarco opened the scoring in the ninth minute.
Yet, Antonio Conte’s side drew level before halftime, only for Calhanoglu to restore the Nerazzurri’s lead midway through the second half.
Unfortunately, McTominay’s 81st-minute equalizer saw Inter drop two precious points against direct title rivals.
As a result, Chivu remains winless in all four league matches against AC Milan, Juventus, and Napoli this season.
If it’s any consolation, his men remain three points clear of the second-placed Rossoneri.

I read somwhere:, last 14 matches against Napoli, Milan and Juventus, 7 draws and 7 losses. This is worrying. So hope for 2 draws against Milan and Juventus. To win became impossible.
We need 2 quality, fast CBs. We don’t have the backline quality that is needed for Chivu’s playing style. Plus a quality GK of course.
