Inter Milan wingback Federico Dimarco cut a frustrated figure after last night’s disappointing 2-2 draw against Napoli.
Speaking to Domenica Sportiva via FCInterNews, the Italian star revealed his frustration with the result.
Cristian Chivu suffered another big-match heartbreak as Napoli came back from a deficit twice to hold his side winless.
Indeed, Federico Dimarco broke the deadlock after only nine minutes, pouncing on Marcus Thuram’s teasing through ball.
However, Scott McTominay pulled one back for the visitors midway through the first half.
Despite reclaiming the lead through Hakan Calhanoglu, the Nerazzurri couldn’t close the game.
Instead, McTominay completed his first league double of the season to snatch away a point for Antonio Conte’s team.
Meanwhile, Dimarco maintained his outstanding campaign, bagging his fourth goal in Serie A this term.
Unfortunately, his exploits failed to help Inter post their first ‘big game’ triumph under Chivu.
Furthermore, the Nerazzurri wasted a glorious chance to extend a three-point cushion at the table’s summit.
Federico Dimarco Frustrated After Inter Milan 2-2 Napoli Draw

“It was a good, hard-fought game, full of duels, with ups and downs for both teams,” Dimarco said after the game. “We’ll take the point.
“There’s always some regret because Inter always want to win, but we were up against a strong team that won the league last season.
“We have to keep going the way we are. Napoli are a strong side, and we expected a match like this.
“However, they were more dangerous at the start of the second half than they were after our second lead.
“I haven’t watched the goals back yet. We’ll understand with the coach and the staff what we could have done better.
“Clearly, we still have a lot to improve, but we’re on the right path.
“We’re coming off a complicated season in which we didn’t get anything.
“Starting again wasn’t easy, but with the coach and his staff we’re carrying on the good work we’re doing.
“Chivu has given us a lot of calm because, as I said, restarting wasn’t easy.
“The final months of last season were a total low point for me. I tried to work my way out of it, but I felt I couldn’t.
“The coach helped me a great deal.”
