Inter Milan center-back Manuel Akanji struggled to cope with Napoli ace Rasmus Hojlund in last night’s game at San Siro.
According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the Manchester United loanee gave the Nerazzurri star a run for his money.
Heavily linked with a move to San Siro in the summer, Rasmus Hojlund ended up joining Napoli on loan with an obligation to buy.
Furthermore, the former Atalanta center-forward has quickly become Antonio Conte’s first-choice striker.
However, it’s worth noting that Romelu Lukaku has been out of action since August, making way for Hojlund to spearhead the attack.
Manuel Akanji Flop vs Rasmus Hojlund in Inter Milan 2-2 Napoli Draw

Despite failing to find the net, Hojlund was a thorn in Inter’s side.
Indeed, his constant movement off the ball and readiness to drop deep to help in the build-up often caused havoc to Inter’s defense.
Akanji often failed to deal with Hojlund’s pace and intelligent positioning, leaving gaps at the back that Napoli repeatedly looked to exploit.
In contrast to Akanji’s underwhelming display, Federico Dimarco went from strength to strength once again.
In addition to netting his fourth Serie A goal of the season, the Italian wingback was a constant threat down the left flank.
