Serie A minnows Genoa have reportedly set their sights on Inter Milan outcast Kristjan Asllani.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio via FCInterNews, the Griffins are lining up a January swoop for the Albanian midfielder.

Kristjan Asllani joined Torino on a season-long loan with an option to buy in the summer.

Despite making 15 league appearances in the first half of the season, the 23-year-old is on the verge of returning to base.

Indeed, Marco Baroni’s men have decided to terminate his loan spell in Turin.

Though Asllani could return to San Siro in the coming days, he won’t stay at the club until the end of the season.

Indeed, Cristian Chivu has sidelined the Albanian from his project.

Therefore, Inter are keen to offload the former Empoli by the end of January.

Genoa could help the Nerazzurri find a new club for their unsettled star as they seek midfield reinforcements.
