Inter Milan have been firing on all cylinders in Serie A this season and were crowned winter champions only yesterday.
According to FCInterNews, Cristian Chivu’s men have equaled an impressive club feat in the three-point-per-win era.
The Nerazzurri left it late to beat perennial bottom-half strugglers Lecce at San Siro last night.
Indeed, Francesco Pio Esposito scored a 78th-minute winner off the bench, extending Inter’s lead over second-placed AC Milan to six points.
Inter Milan Achieve Impressive Serie A Feat for 5th Time

Interestingly, Cristian Chivu has overseen just one draw in the opening 20 Serie A rounds.
More importantly, Inter racked up an eye-catching 15 victories in those 20 matches, losing the remaining four.
In doing so, Chivu’s charges have amassed this many wins this early in the season for only the fifth time since the 1994/95 season.
As a result, they’ve positioned themselves perfectly to grab their 21st Scudetto.
However, with Milan and Napoli breathing down their necks, there’s no room for complacency.
Chivu’s side will resume their title pursuit on Saturday with an away clash against Udinese.
