Inter Milan talisman Marcus Thuram struggled through another erratic performance in last night’s clash against Lecce.
According to the Italian media via L’Interista, the French striker was merely a shadow of his former self on Wednesday evening.
Cristian Chivu decided to pair Thuram up with Ange-Yoan Bonny, who took Lautaro Martinez’s place in the final third.
However, the Romanian coach’s tweaks failed to come to fruition as the French duo did almost nothing to put Lecce’s backline to the test.
Marcus Thuram Struggles in Inter Milan 1-0 Lecce Win

Apart from a feeble attempt to draw a penalty for his side early in the first half, Marcus Thuram didn’t do anything noteworthy.
Indeed, the 28-year-old continues to struggle for form since recovering from a long-term injury in November.
For perspective, he has scored just three goals in ten Serie A appearances since returning to the squad.
Still, Thuram offered a slight improvement in the second half following an unenviable first-half display.
Nonetheless, his lack of on-field understanding with Bonny didn’t go unnoticed.
