Serie A heavyweights Inter Milan have reportedly put fringe defender Stefan de Vrij on the chopping block.
According to Tuttosport via FCInter1908, the veteran center-back could leave the club in the final week of the January transfer window.
Stefan de Vrij, who joined Inter from Lazio in 2018, has tumbled down the pecking order this season.
Indeed, the 33-year-old has been Cristian Chivu’s fifth option at the back, falling behind Yann Bisseck, Manuel Akanji, and Francesco Acerbi in the defensive hierarchy.
With the 2026 FIFA World Cup around the corner, the Dutchman is eager to steer his faltering career back on track.
Inter Milan Put Stefan de Vrij on Chopping Block

Ronald Koeman has already told De Vrij to secure regular first-team football if he’s to play for the Netherlands in next summer’s tournament.
Meanwhile, Simone Inzaghi is keen to reunite with the Dutch star at Al-Hilal.
However, Inter have decided not to open talks with the Saudi Pro League powerhouse after failing to sign Joao Cancelo.
Still, De Vrij could cut ties with the Nerazzurri toward the end of January.
