Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez once again proved decisive as the Nerazzurri secured a hard-fought 1-0 win away to Udinese, strengthening their position at the top of the Serie A table.
The Argentine striker claimed the winning goal at the Bluenergy Stadium and was named Panini Player of the Match for his performance.
Speaking to DAZN after full-time, Lautaro underlined the importance of both the result and the manner in which Inter earned it.
“Very important,” Lautaro said when asked about the victory. “We know what it means to play in this stadium against a physical team that focuses a lot on second balls. We showed quality and scored at the right moment.”
Inter had to remain patient against a compact and aggressive Udinese side, but the champions-elect managed the game well and limited the hosts’ chances.
Udinese 0-1 Inter – Lautaro Hails Talented Pio Esposito

Lautaro’s experience and composure once again made the difference in a fixture that had caused problems earlier in the season.
The Inter captain also reserved praise for Pio Esposito.
The young Italian partnered him in attack and continues to earn trust under Cristian Chivu.
“Pio is important,” Lautaro explained. “He’s a player who always makes himself available to the group. I’m happy with his work, just like Ange and Marcus. We’re doing a great job thanks to the coach and his staff.”
Lautaro’s words reflect the balance Inter are striking between experience and youth.
With Esposito growing in confidence alongside established figures, the Nerazzurri continue to show depth and maturity as they push on in the title race.
