Inter Milan center-forward Marcus Thuram continued his Champions League scoring drought in last night’s defeat to Arsenal.
According to the Italian press via L’Interista, the Frenchman’s performance failed to inspire much confidence.
Thuram has been unable to rediscover his old form since coming back from injury in November.
Despite his disjointed showings in recent matches, Cristian Chivu decided to pair him up with Lautaro Martinez last night.
However, Inter’s striker duo failed to trouble Arsenal’s sturdy backline.
Marcus Thuram Fails to Impress in Inter Milan 1-3 Arsenal Loss

It was never going to be easy for the Thu-La tandem, as they faced off against the best defensive team in Europe.
Nonetheless, home fans must have expected more from their idols, especially the Frenchman.
Unfortunately, the 28-year-old failed to test David Raya.
Except for a wayward finish midway through the first half, Thuram never had a clear sight of goal.
As a result, he has now drawn a blank in five consecutive Champions League matches since scoring a double against Ajax on day one.

Actually in moments when he comes to life he’s unplayable. Remember the goal came after his shot was block and tried again with a pass to Barella. Then off the ball he was just so lazy watching the ball infront of him getting passed around and long balls where he’s offside for no reason
this thuram is not an inter material I swear…..I only want one of bonny and Esposito to start benching the idiot
With full attack style of play of Chivu, there is not much space in front, so Thuram will struggle. Thuram best quality is attacking space.
With Chivu style of pressure, Thuram will struggle because He give weak pressure.
Esposito dan Bonny really good at tight space. So Esposito and Bonny will flourish in Chivu style of play.
100% right
