Inter Milan whizz-kid Francesco Pio Esposito made an outstanding cameo appearance in Tuesday’s Champions League clash against Arsenal.

According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, the 20-year-old’s second-half performance caught visiting supporters by surprise.

Widely regarded as one of Europe’s most promising strikers, Francesco Pio Esposito represents both the present and the future of Inter Milan.

Indeed, the prodigious center-forward has already accumulated 26 appearances this season, finding the net in every competition he has featured in.

Unfortunately, he failed to get on the scoresheet on Tuesday as Arsenal stunned San Siro into silence, beating the Nerazzurri 3-1.

Cristian Chivu left Esposito on the bench in favor of Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram.

However, after El Toro’s underwhelming 63-minute display, he decided to give the youngster a chance to prove his worth on the grandest stage.

Despite drawing a blank, Esposito caused havoc to Arsenal’s backline, winning virtually every duel against Cristhian Mosquera.

Furthermore, he nearly slotted home a difficult half-volley before forcing Mikel Arteta to introduce Gabriel Magalhaes.

Mosquera couldn’t deal with Esposito’s strength and movement, which impressed the Gunners fans.
