Italian media largely celebrated Inter Milan’s attacking response in the 6-2 win over Pisa, with Federico Dimarco and Francesco Pio Esposito dominating the ratings.
At the same time, Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, highlighted Cristian Chivu’s substitutions as a decisive factor in turning a chaotic evening into a convincing victory.
The Roman daily did not spare Yann Sommer, who again received a low score after a difficult performance.
The paper stressed that Inter overturned Pisa “also thanks to the changes after a senseless opening,” while noting that defending set pieces “continues to raise some doubts.”
Sommer’s display earned him a 4.5, the lowest rating of the night.
Inter 6-2 Pisa – Dimarco & Esposito Shine

At the opposite end stood Dimarco, named man of the match with a commanding eight.
Corriere dello Sport praised his “quality and character in helping to straighten out a match that looked compromised,” describing his assist for Lautaro Martinez as “a gem” and judging his goal for the 4-2 as “even better.”
Pio Esposito followed closely behind with a 7.5. The striker earned praise “after the goal against Lecce and a strong cameo against Arsenal,” with the paper highlighting that “his header at the end of the first half was perfect.”
Lautaro, Alessandro Bastoni and Ange-Yoan Bonny all received sevens, matching Chivu’s own rating for his game management.
However, more mixed scores appeared elsewhere.
Piotr Zielinski and Marcus Thuram collected 6.5, while Yann Bisseck, Petar Sucic, Nicolò Barella, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Carlos Augusto settled on sixes.
Stefan de Vrij, starting for the first time in over a month, scored 5.5, just ahead of Luis Henrique, labelled the “scapegoat of an embarrassing start” and rated five.
The verdict was clear. Inter’s comeback carried flaws, but Dimarco, Esposito and Chivu stood out as the driving forces behind a demolition that restored control and confidence.
