Bournemouth have reportedly submitted a formal bid for underperforming Inter Milan winger Luis Henrique.
According to Calciomercato, the Cherries have already overtaken Henrique’s long-term admirers, Besiktas, in the race for his signature.
Luis Henrique has failed to live up to his €23 million price tag at San Siro.
After a series of underwhelming performances, manager Cristian Chivu has deemed him surplus to requirements.
Therefore, Inter are reportedly open to selling the former Olympique Marseille star this winter.

Besiktas have been trying to engineer Henrique’s switch to Istanbul since the start of January.
However, Sergen Yalcin’s men were hoping to sign the Brazilian ace on loan with an option to buy.
On the other hand, Inter are keen to recoup their investment and would prefer an immediate sale.
Furthermore, the Nerazzurri are already working on signing PSV Eindhoven veteran Ivan Perisic as a short-term solution for the right wing.
Perisic’s arrival would likely facilitate Henrique’s exit, with Bournemouth eager to lure him to the Vitality Stadium.

Sell him for anything, he isn’t a wingback. if we switched systems then i would keep him but he’s just not fit for this system.
I don’t think we should sell. First thing is that wingback is not his natural position since he is a winger. Also Ive seen many players flop thr first season and improve drastically the next. Look at players like Son, Patrick Dorgu, Matias Soule.
At least if Inter sell him now there’ll get some money. Unless the formation changes he will play in that position and continues to flop in fact out of all players that have played that position ever since Inter started playing with 3-5-2 Luis Henrique has consistently flopped based on the number of matches he played. Diouf is actually ahead of him in that position stats wise because Henrique is simply too timid and bad in attack with terrible crosses and lack of a goal threat nature of his play. How many times he would bust forward while ahead of a defender yet failed to actually score even when he has higher speed than defenders.
You say he is a winger, yet he shows no attacking prowess whatsoever. He is just over his head and needs to play for a provincial side.

Agree. And the more asslani showed himself, his value decreased. Now we can’t get rid off him. Everyone knows how useless he is.
If we do unload him, I wonder if we will recruit an actual wingback to replace him. Why do we continue signing wingers hoping they will fit in a 3-5-2?
At some point we have to be brave enough to promote a youngster from the u23
I hope that starts as early as next season
Yeah, we should be promoting from U23 team for backup roles. What has Henrique shown that anyone from the youth system couldn’t? Some positions like CB are difficult for younger guys but wingback is a low-risk high-upside position
