Inter Milan midfielder Piotr Zielinski has undergone a renaissance this season following a dreadful maiden campaign at San Siro.

According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, Cristian Chivu’s appointment has been the catalyst to rekindle the 31-year-old’s prospects in Lombardy.

Despite joining Inter as one of the best midfielders in Serie A, Piotr Zielinski flopped in his first year at Giuseppe Meazza.

Furthermore, the Nerazzurri had even considered selling the former Napoli star at the end of last season.

However, Chivu’s arrival has turned Zielinski’s fortunes around.

Chivu has transformed Zielinski into his best version this season, helping the Polish ace regain both form and confidence.

Indeed, Zielinski has already made 28 appearances across all competitions, including 19 in Serie A.

Unwilling to squander Chivu’s trust, he has hit the ground running, racking up four goals and two assists.

Notably, Inter have won all three league matches in which Zielinski was on the scoresheet, highlighting his talismanic impact.

With Hakan Calhanoglu on the sidelines, the Pole is likely to remain Inter’s creative force in the middle of the park.
