Inter Milan midfielder Petar Sucic seems likely to start in tonight’s crucial UEFA Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the former Dinamo Zagreb man is the frontrunner to replace the injured Hakan Calhanoglu.

Inter’s hopes of securing back-to-back top-eight finishes at Europe’s top table are on the line after a string of underwhelming results.

Indeed, the San Siro giants have lost their last three European matches, all against top clubs.

Therefore, they start the final round of fixtures a point behind eighth-placed Chelsea, meaning failure is not an option.

Petar Sucic scored a superb equalizer in last week’s 3-1 home defeat to Arsenal, registering his first-ever Champions League goal in Inter colors.
