Serie A pacesetters Inter Milan are reportedly growing confident of signing Al-Ittihad winger Moussa Diaby.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Nerazzurri could sign the 26-year-old in the final days of the January transfer window.
Inter president Beppe Marotta confirmed the club’s interest in the lightning-fast forward ahead of tonight’s clash against Borussia Dortmund.
Despite highlighting the complexity of the deal, Marotta acknowledged Inter’s intention to bring Diaby back to Europe.
Inter Milan Confident of Signing Moussa Diaby
Diaby left Aston Villa to join Al-Ittihad in the summer of 2024, with the Saudi Pro League giants spending €60 million for the transfer.
However, the versatile winger could return to European football sooner than expected.
Inter reportedly view him as a potential long-term replacement for Denzel Dumfries, who could leave the club in the summer.
Meanwhile, Diaby’s arrival will not affect Inter’s pursuit of Ivan Perisic.
With PSV Eindhoven eliminated from the UEFA Champions League, the veteran star could return to San Siro.
It’s worth noting that Perisic has already informed Inter of his desire to come back.
