Inter Milan have seen an initial approach for Moussa Diaby turned down as uncertainty continues to surround the winger’s future at Al-Ittihad.
The negotiations remain complicated by issues beyond the transfer fee itself.
According to Tuttosport, via FCInter1908, Inter proposed a loan deal with an option to buy set at €35 million.
However, the Saudi club did not accept the offer.
The rejection, however, is only part of the story.
Tense Atmosphere Inside Al-Ittihad Makes Inter Milan Move For Diaby Difficult

The atmosphere inside Al-Ittihad has become tense, which makes any outgoing transfer more delicate.
Diaby is not the only player unsettled at the club.
N’Golo Kanté and Karim Benzema are also reported to be frustrated with the situation.
Allowing one high-profile player to leave could trigger further requests from others.
For that reason, Al-Ittihad’s leadership are reluctant to open the door, even if Diaby himself would welcome a move.
The French winger started and played in the recent 2-2 draw against Al Fateh, a sign that the club still consider him part of their plans for now.
Inter, meanwhile, cannot afford to wait too long.
With other targets also proving difficult, the Diaby track has become increasingly uphill as the transfer window enters its decisive phase.
