Serie A giants Inter Milan have already identified their first two signings for the summer transfer window.
According to Calciomercato via FCInter1908, Manuel Akanji will be the club’s first acquisition at the end of the season.
Signed from Manchester City on a season-long loan, Manuel Akanji has gone from strength to strength this season.
Indeed, the 30-year-old has nailed down a starting berth as his own, becoming Inter’s defensive cornerstone.
Therefore, it’s unsurprising that Beppe Marotta is ready to activate the €15 million purchase option.
Inter Milan Identify First Two Summer Signings

In addition to Akanji, Inter seem to have already decided to re-sign Club Brugge midfielder Aleksandar Stankovic.
Despite selling the 20-year-old last summer, the Serie A giants are looking to bring him back to Serie A.
Club Brugge paid just €10 million to sign the Serbian starlet and are set to turn a substantial profit within just 12 months.
Indeed, Inter will have to fork out €23 million to trigger the buyback clause.
However, they’re more than willing to do it after Stankovic’s stellar form this season.

Bring Stankovic back and don’t buy Akanji.
Would be fascinated to hear a coherent argument why you would make the decision to not sign Akanji
Would be a silly investment only for short term future. I would rather see more of our youth players and also should move to a back four. This will be another case like Acerbi and our defence will only get older with no new reinforcements.
Akanji is 30. Playing in the center of a back three, he could have 5-6 years ahead of him, easily. It is a position that requires experience and intelligence. Youth players can fill in almost anywhere on the squad but the middle of the defense is the one place you don’t want an inexperienced player.
He proved himself immediately after his arrival. He has the technical and mental abilities of a midfielder and understands the role while being much quicker than Acerbi and Devrij
And switching to a back four would require a huge squad overhaul. Dumfries is the only guy on the squad that is a natural fullback and he always has a foot out the door. Our CB’s haven’t played in a back four for almost a decade and Bastoni looks lost in the national team when deployed in a back 4.
No january signing lookman gone now.
No january signing lookman gone now
There has been some really stupid comments lately.
Stankovic is performing well in a low league, which is great, thats why inter has a buy option on him. He will take time to intergrate into our midfield when he does come. He isnt Nico Paz yet.
Bisseck is performing great in our backline and will only improve over the next few years plus he is more dangerous going forward than Miki and Barella who seem to freeze in front of goal.
Marotta and Chivu are doing a fantastic job this year and who would of believed we would be 5 points in front of the pack after watching last years Champions League Final.

facts
I am very glad our management doesn’t think like the troll fans on this site.
Bisseck has, from day one, shown that he isn’t afraid of playing at this level. He plays positive football. Drives forward and dribbles more than our midfielders. He is big and athletic and technically superior.
Yes, he makes mistakes, but everyone does. His are highlighted because he’s a defender and some negative fans are applying confirmation bias to use that as justification to give up on him.
I agree on first two points.
But Marotta and Ausilio are not doing a great job. They failed to address our weaknesses last summer and we will have huge rebuild coming up in next transfer window. Mikhi, Acerbi, De Vrij, Darmian and Sommer are all out of contract and will be leaving. Frattesi is not good enough and must be sold. Our midfield is only stacked on paper. Yes we have 7 midfielders however Frattesi is what he is and Diouf is not being trusted by Chivu. With our current situation we are couple of injuries away from Diouf-Mikhi-Frattesi midfield trio. Our defence is performing better because of Akanji and must sign him from City, he is one of our best performers this season. Acerbi can’t play against top opposition and Bisseck although playing better than last season still makes a lot of mistakes. De Vrij seems to lost Chivu trust. Our goalkeeping situation is also questionable. Sommer is clearly declining and we don’t know what is going
The only area we are ok in is attack. But even here we will have decisions to make in the summer regarding Thuram.
Going back to Beppe and Ausilio, they’ve been disappointing. They go for Lookman and fail, then sell Zalewski for small profit to the same team that refused to seler to us. Only reason that we bought Akanji was because Pavard wanted to leave. Panic buying Andy Diouf. Inability to sell outgoing players for decent amount of money and not being able to shift ones that we don’t want on our team (Asslani will be back in the summer).
Yes we are first in the league which is great but that doesn’t mean that everything is rosy. They could and should have strengthen the squad this January but chose not to. We are still in 3 competitions as of today and with those 2 extra fixtures in CL games will come thick and fast.
Only our management would sell a player like Aleksandar and keep Bisseck.
