Former Chelsea and Real Madrid talisman Eden Hazard has backed Inter Milan to win the Serie A title this season.
Speaking to Tuttosport via FCInter1908, the 35-year-old heaped praise on the Nerazzurri.
Despite undergoing a managerial change last summer, Inter haven’t lost their competitive edge.
On the contrary, the San Siro giants have emerged as the leading title contenders in Serie A this season.
Indeed, Cristian Chivu has defied his lack of experience in senior management, steering Inter to the top of the table.
However, there’s no room for complacency, with second-placed AC Milan lagging just five points behind.
Meanwhile, reigning holders Napoli trail the Nerazzurri by a whopping nine points and will need a miracle to reclaim the crown.
Hazard’s former international teammates, Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne, are plying their trade in Naples.
Still, an injury-hit campaign has kept both players from playing a major role in Napoli’s Scudetto push.
Eden Hazard Believes Inter Milan Will Win Serie A Title This Season

“It must be said that Serie A remains a great league,” Hazard stated.
“I watch it more closely now because I have two friends and former national team teammates at Napoli.
“It seems to me that Inter have something extra compared to the others,” he added. “I see them as tougher.
“But I’ll be cheering for Romelu [Lukaku] and Kevin [De Bruyne].
“As a Belgian, I hope Napoli wins the championship because Antonio Conte and my friends Lukaku and De Bruyne are there.
“But I think Inter will win the Scudetto in the end.”
Asked who’s closer to his style of play, Lautaro Martinez or Kenan Yildiz, Hazard replied: “In my opinion, Juve’s number ten, Yildiz, is closer.
“I see Lautaro more as a striker, a real number nine, so to speak. Yildiz is more like me.”
