Nicolo Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu have handed Inter Milan a double injury boost ahead of Saturday’s Derby d’Italia clash against Juventus.

According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, both players could return to the starting lineup this weekend.

Inter will face Juventus in a blockbuster Serie A fixture on Saturday, looking to extend their five-game winning run in the league.

Furthermore, Cristian Chivu has welcomed two first-team stalwarts back from injuries on the eve of this heavyweight showdown.

Hakan Calhanoglu has been on the sidelines since the beginning of the calendar year.

Indeed, he suffered a calf injury during Inter’s 2-2 home draw against Napoli in early January.

However, the 32-year-old has regained full fitness and could start as a deep-lying playmaker this weekend.

Meanwhile, Barella sustained a minor muscle problem in training shortly before Inter’s Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund.

Therefore, he sat out Inter’s last two Serie A games, but he will be at Chivu’s disposal on Saturday.
