Inter Milan and Juventus are preparing to face off on the pitch, but the Derby d’Italia could also extend into the summer transfer market.

According to Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, both clubs are monitoring several overlapping targets as they plan squad reinforcements ahead of next season.

One of the latest names is Roma full-back Zeki Celik, whose contract situation has attracted interest.

Juventus are currently considered ahead in the race, though the Turkey international has opened the door to remaining in Rome if presented with an improved offer beyond the €2.8 million per year currently proposed.

Midfield is another potential battleground. Juventus are evaluating Franck Kessie, a player also appreciated by Inter’s hierarchy.

Weston McKennie remains on the radar in Milan, although prising him away from Turin would be difficult as renewal talks continue.

Should negotiations stall, Davide Frattesi could emerge as an option for the Bianconeri.

Between the posts, Juventus may reassess their goalkeeping options if paths diverge with Michele Di Gregorio or Mattia Perin.

In that scenario, Guglielmo Vicario is among the profiles under consideration.

Indeed, a name already on Inter’s shortlist as the Nerazzurri anticipate the need to strengthen in goal.

Defensively, another potential overlap concerns Tarik Muharemovic.

Juventus retain a 50% resale clause with Sassuolo, effectively allowing them to re-sign the defender at a reduced cost.

Much, however, will depend on Champions League qualification.
