Roma wingback Zeki Celik is reportedly on the verge of leaving the club amid growing interest from Inter Milan.

According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, the 29-year-old’s future lies away from Rome.

Celik’s contract at the Stadio Olimpico runs out in June, with Roma reluctant to offer him fresh terms.

Despite his contractual wobble, the Turkish star remains an indispensable starter under Gian Piero Gasperini.

Indeed, he has made 23 appearances in Serie A this season.

Negotiations over Celik’s contract renewal have hit a standstill.

Indeed, his agent is reportedly asking for a substantial pay rise, demanding around €4 million net per season.

Meanwhile, the Giallorossi have no intention of matching Celik’s request.

Therefore, a summer exit is looming, with Inter keeping close tabs on the former Lille ace.

Zeki Celik would be a decent coup for the Nerazzurri, especially considering they wouldn’t have to pay a dime to secure his signature.

However, Fulham, Newcastle United, and Stuttgart are also in the race.
