Inter Milan will take on Bodo/Glimt in the return leg of their Champions League knockout playoff tie later today. 

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri will rely heavily on the backing of the San Siro faithful to mount a comeback.

Bodo/Glimt stunned the Serie A pacesetters in the first leg last week, emerging as 3-1 victors at the Aspmyra Stadion.

Therefore, Cristian Chivu must engineer an epic comeback to help Inter avoid missing the Round of 16 for the first time since 2020/21.

Inter have never won a Champions League knockout fixture by a 3+ goal margin.

However, they must do just that to progress without the burden of extra time.

Meanwhile, it’s been some time since the Nerazzurri last staged a comeback in a Champions League knockout tie.

Indeed, Inter last overturned a first-leg deficit on home turf in 1991, when they beat Aston Villa 2-0 here.

Still, Chivu’s men have been formidable at San Siro of late, netting 11 goals across their last three matches on this ground.
