Denzel Dumfries is guaranteed to play a part for Inter Milan against Genoa at San Siro tonight, with the Netherlands wing-back set for minutes as Cristian Chivu navigates a congested fixture schedule and some tricky selection decisions.
According to Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, Dumfries is in a three-way battle with Luis Henrique and Darmian for the right wing-back berth.
He may not start, but his involvement is confirmed.
On the opposite flank, Dimarco is non-negotiable.
Corriere describe him as “too important right now.”
Especially with the Coppa Italia semi-final and the derby both approaching.
So keeping him sharp is essential.
Inter Vs Genoa – Bonny & Thuram To Lead Line For Chivu As Dumfries Returns

Up front, Bonny is expected to lead the line alongside either Thuram or Esposito, with the Frenchman holding the advantage.
It would mark Bonny’s first league start since January 14th.
It is a gap of over six weeks that underlines just how much rotation Chivu has used this season.
In defence, the suspended Bastoni makes way for Carlos Augusto on the left of the back three.
Should Acerbi be preferred over Bisseck in the centre, Akanji shifts across to cover the right side.
Therefore giving Chivu flexibility in how he lines up at the back.
